The scope of D9Tech’s services encompassed routine and unscheduled maintenance for a wide range of equipment, including Civil Engineering Support Equipment (CESE), Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
Operational Readiness and Support
Project Overview: Daily communications were maintained with command repair facilities to monitor the status of MHE and Shipboard Mobile Support Equipment (SMSE), assessing their operational conditions and determining the required actions to meet completion timeframes and ensure shipboard operational readiness.
Scope of Services: D9Tech’s contributions were not limited to coordination with command repair facilities; they extended to providing a comprehensive suite of resources—skilled personnel, essential materials, specialized equipment, and dedicated facilities. This proactive approach ensured the fulfillment of MHE and SMSE requirements, surpassing the government-provided support by bridging any existing gaps and facilitating a seamless and efficient support system.

The company also provided on-the-job training (OJT) to Ship’s Force, enhancing their ability to evaluate equipment, apply troubleshooting techniques, and perform necessary repairs. After each visit, D9Tech delivered a detailed brief and written report, outlining the training provided and recommending improvements.
Maintenance Tasks: The company engaged in the Service Life Extension Program (SLEP), preventive maintenance (PM), and the overhaul of various MHE and SMSE as directed by TYCOM, including a broad spectrum of equipment from forklifts and man lifts to pressure washers and aerial work platforms.
Project Execution: D9Tech arranged transportation, performed assessments, repairs, service, weight testing, and certification for various types of MHE. This comprehensive support extended to battery maintenance, testing, and recharging, alongside validating equipment configurations and utilizing formal test procedures for thorough assessments.
Emergent Repairs: Responding swiftly to overseas units in locations such as Croatia, Rota, Spain, and Malta, as well as CONUS to Mayport, Florida, D9Tech demonstrated its capability to manage emergent repairs effectively.
Quality Assurance: The implementation of a Quality Control Plan (QCP) by D9Tech ensured adherence to the scope of work, encompassing inspections, problem identification and correction, and customer complaint resolution, aimed at continuous service improvement.
Complexity: With a dedicated team of four full-time personnel, D9Tech supported an extensive fleet of ships, showcasing the company’s technical and mechanical support capabilities across a broad array of naval vessels.
Recognition: D9Tech was commended for the high quality of its services, maintaining an impeccable record with no service delivery issues or cost-related problems. The absence of Corrective Action Requests (CARs) or Contract Delivery Reports (CDRs) underscores D9Tech’s commitment to excellence and reliability in its support to the Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center and CNSL Commands.
